There has been a decline in litigation in the business community as more and more are choosing alternative forms to resolve disputes, to which in some cases, are in fact mandatory. All disputes relating to family law, for example, have required compulsory mediation since 2006.
Mediation is a cost effective avenue for all parties involved in a dispute. Despite having to incur large sums for the process, it allows all parties the flexibility to devise tax efficient solutions, hence saving costs in the long run.
